Cookie Policy

How Motionfold Desk uses cookies and browser storage. Last updated: July 16, 2026.

What We Use

Motionfold Desk uses a single localStorage entry in your browser to remember whether you have accepted or rejected our cookie banner. This is the only browser storage mechanism we use.

localStorage — Consent Record

When you interact with the cookie consent banner at the bottom of this site — by clicking Accept or Reject — a value is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key md_cookie_choice. This value contains only your consent choice (either "accepted" or "rejected") and nothing else.

This data:

  • Remains in your browser only. It is never transmitted to any server.
  • Is not used for tracking, analytics, or advertising.
  • Persists until you clear your browser's localStorage or use the browser's developer tools to remove it.

What We Do Not Use

This site does not use:

  • Advertising cookies or pixels
  • Analytics tracking (Google Analytics, Matomo, or similar)
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Session cookies for logged-in accounts
  • Any third-party cookie or tracking script

Wikimedia Commons Images

Some images on this site are loaded directly from Wikimedia Commons (upload.wikimedia.org). These images are served by Wikimedia's infrastructure. When your browser loads an image from an external domain, your IP address and browser information are visible to that domain's server. Wikimedia operates under its own privacy policy, which is accessible at wikimediafoundation.org.

Managing Your Consent

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage. To do so, you can use your browser's developer tools (typically accessible via F12), navigate to the Application or Storage tab, and delete the entry under LocalStorage for this site.
